frightening that I am again thinking about this almost exactly one year after previously thinking about it
Still occasionally think about the cable guy who told me that he had 100k saved that he was going to spend on making a video game, said it'd be easy because he knew BASIC, and that he had a game idea that he couldn't tell me it because it's top secret and his wife said it was a billion dollar idea.

Me: I do not like JRPGs. I cannot think of one I have played even halfway through, or for more than a few hours. Nothing about them appeals to me. The idea of writing so much dialog and worldbuilding sounds miserable.

Been thinking about intentionally bad level design lately. Specifically, level design that is bad and expects players to intentionally improve upon it, as well as intentionally tests the player's ability to *notice* it being bad.

Update: unfortunately my family has now become obsessed with uploading our family's old photos to AI websites that turn the people in them into 3 second long moving images and sending that to everyone they know. So that's cool.
My family is getting so AI-Pilled it's crazy. My Nana had written some childhood memories of hers down, so my mom fed it to ChatGPT which generated a formal summary which she then read aloud to everyone at the function and its like....please just give us my Nana's handwritten notes next time.
