Heard an incredible story from a Godly Play teacher this morning. If you're not familiar with Godly Play, it's a Montessori-based spiral curriculum that focuses on teaching students Bible stories through participation and imagination. She told us about how she saw the fruits of this formation ⚓

I forgot that we provide space for AA and once had an NA group before my time. Someone who came to our potluck tonight mentioned coming to that NA group and is now 3 years clean!
Happy for a signal boost to talk about the work my church does:
-weekly meal served to our unhoused neighbors
-partner with other downtown churches for Cridlin Food and Clothing Pantry, which has supplies for infants
-free office space to a sexual assault and rape crisis center

Good morning Anglicans! I need more resources for new Anglicans that are called things like "rookie Anglican" or "an introduction to Anglican tradition" or "what is All Saints Day" that are SEO so my people quit going to ACNA resources aligned with the 2008 Jerusalem Declaration ⚓

Join me in praying that Rod falls in love with a good Anglo-Catholic guy and logs off forever
Rod Dreher is a racist.
He’s not an intellectual or thought leader or whatever BS.
He’s a gutter racist authoritarian, and there’s nothing else to him.

I did resist the urge to make the title of this video clickbait. It does have some info about how the GAFCON communique was put together and that only 7 of 12 Primates on the GAFCON Council were on the Zoom call to approve it. So it's spilling the tea, a bit, but from a very elegant cup
If you, like me, do not know much about global Anglican political machinations, you’re in luck! I had the Rev. Mark Michael, editor-in-chief of The Living Church, on to provide context and analysis of this GAFCON moment ⚓️

The Lord's Prayer does not belong in propaganda videos, it belongs on the lips of each Christian every day
The Ten Commandments do not belong on public school walls, but inscribed on the tablets of Christians' hearts
Liturgy is all around us, and some of it wounds, binds, and kills

Add a dose of propaganda to your morning coffee.. This smells of Russian-like “special operation”

Stanley Hauerwas: "One reason why we Christians argue so much about which hymn to sing, which liturgy to follow, which way to worship is that the commandments teach us to believe that bad liturgy eventually leads to bad ethics...."

Hauerwasianism had pretty much entirely gone out of style in the theological academy until this administration, which was basically designed in a lab to validate it
