For example, things like autocomplete and machine learning have been rolled into the shit katamari dubbed "AI" even though both predated GenAI by a long time.

The thing with tech is that until we invent something crazy like quantum computing, we basically hit the peak of what the computer can do. Consumer electronics peaked in the mid 2010s, but because capitalism demands infinite growth they began bullshitting everything to try and trick us
