Can I add: the CARE this movie was made with is so obvious. Nothing slapped together. Every part of it intentional. Would be great to see more of that in Hollywood. That's why people went to see it. They know the makers care about their film and it shows

Just a heads up with all the Christmas markets and fairs on at the moment - if you see art or art-based pieces for sale, ask who the artist is, because the amount of people deceptively slapping "made locally" on pieces locally farted out by their computer and a genAI prompt is getting depressing

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Not doing Black Friday because I'm against the creeping Americanisation of Irish life and can't afford to as a small artist, but WILL be doing Vengeful Hag Friday where for every piece of art you purchase from www.ciaraioch.com/artprints I will fervently wish bad cess to your enemies

Freddie Mercury didn't go into the studio and nail the vocals for "The Show Must Go On" in one take while dying of AIDS for you to despair and give up now. Take the time you need, but then get up and get back out there.

The show must go on.

OSCAR ISAAC, on whether he'd return to "Star Wars":

".. Yeah. I mean, I’d be open to it, although right now I’m not so open to working with Disney. But if they can kinda figure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism, that would be great."

Absolutely typical that a nearby greenway has multiple signs regarding dog fouling but not one bin along the route to put waste into. And I’m not even talking about dog waste bins but *any* kind of bin

Ok there Frasier, calm down
Took my Dad for a meal, and the waiter showed me some of his art. I was polite about it, so my Dad bought one of his paintings for me as a gift. I hate it, but I have to keep it up so as not to hurt his feelings.

Make no mistake, this excavation wouldn’t be happening if Catherine Corless hadn’t stuck her neck out and defied people telling her to leave it alone.

But the scale of this is unimaginable. It’s not just M&B homes, it’s laundries, it’s industrial schools, it’s giant psych hospitals.

Rosalind Franklin was born #OTD in 1920. Her X-ray diffraction work was critical for establishing the helical nature of DNA. 👩‍🔬 🧪

Work carried out by Franklin (with doctoral student Raymond Gosling) was given to Watson and Crick without her consent.

"All right, class, who knows what Watson and Crick discovered?"
"Rosalind Franklin's notes."
"That's correct."
