We're gonna need a truth and reconciliation commission and Nuremberg style trials to reckon with all of this evil, and any Dem candidate for office who shies away from a full reckoning in the name of "moving forward as a nation" can get well and truly fucked

Haven't raided the proper camera for a kei car yet so here's another from yesterday, a Suzuki Carry or similar cosplaying as something old.

Hello, computer.

Leonard Nimoy's Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (aka The One With the Whales!) was released 39 years ago today.

One of the most popular Trek films, the Whale Movie is indeed one of my fav. Fresh, funny, with a fine environmental message, it completes an overall successful trilogy.

“General Motors has not met a two-week deadline imposed by the Government of Canada to submit a plan for ‘next steps‘ at its idled CAMI Assembly Plant in Ingersoll, Ont.”

Very simple solution – GM should just start building the Pontiac Parisienne again.

Enormously fun article by @sajeevmehta.bsky.social on asymmetry in car design.

As commenters noted, at length, Sajeev left out a couple of fairly well-known designs ... both American, as it turned out.

WITHOUT reading the comments, read through his piece + see if you can ID them. Go.

"The disbelief and amusement from security researchers highlights a challenge. Car companies want to offer the conveniences of consumer electronics, but these hackers say their security approach remains in the realm of the amateur."

Lots of tough work ahead for automotive tech.
