Thank you Senator Cory Booker. This guy truly cares about the people he represents.
"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness" -- 20 hours into his speech, Cory Booker is spitting absolute 🔥

I really admire Cory Booker! Especially his support of nuclear power.

It's amazing to see any politician fight right now, it's the motivation america needs!

But I have to ask, if he wasn't speaking, what would the senate being doing right now? Can they pass ANY legislation?

And now Chuck Schumer is enemy #1
Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

This is all Schumer's fault, he orchestrated this to provide air cover to senators in swing states.

New York needs to go all out and take down @schumer.senate.gov and @kirstengillibrand.bsky.social

They did the calculation but let make them know they are bad at math.

When pro-cloture Senators are up:

2030
Gillibrand (NY)
King (ME)

2028
Cortez Masto (NV)
Fetterman (PA)
Hassan (NH)
Schatz (HI)
Schumer (NY)

2026
Peters (MI) not running
Shaheen (NH) not running

...evidently one has to protect one's post-office livelihood

The dems are useless. We need to take down @schumer.senate.gov and @kirstengillibrand.bsky.social

The time came to stand up for our rights and they blew it, while their own residents are getting kidnapped by ICE.

The GOP’s CR is a total abdication of Congress’ duty. It hands power to Trump & Musk to continue to destroy our government and slash vital programs while they enrich themselves.

Democrats must FIGHT BACK, not roll over. The Senate must vote NO on cloture.

It's funny thinking back to the argument that Dems couldn't get rid of the filibuster when they were in power because they'd miss it once the GOP was in power.

Never thought I'd see fox news and seanhannity defending EVs. Like dammit Musk I was hoping something good like this could come out of your relationship with Trump but nope you had to go full send and demolish the government. Now we have to take you down.

I was messaging people on Twitter telling them to tell their followers to delete their account, move to bluesky, and stop supporting Elon, and my account got locked.

I sent like 5 messages?!?!?

What could Schumer do? Here's what I'd do:

Get every Dem in front of the Capitol today and say this: "Every single one of us will vote for a clean one-month funding bill right now. What we will not do is cave to Republican threats to shut down the government unless we give a blank check to Musk."

@golden.house.gov

You are totally useless. Have fun dealing with the national money that's going to come after you during your next primary battle. There is no point electing dems if they are just going to support a maga agenda.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

I took a stand last year when F1 sought to exclude General Motors/Cadillac from the F1 championship series despite meeting all requirements.

I'm glad to see they reversed course to allow an all-American team to compete. This is a win for competition and American manufacturing!

The bigger crime is anyone looking at the dow Jones as a measure of stock market performance. It's price weighted instead of market cap weighted. Prices are dependent on share count which can be manipulated. Use the S&P 500 like real experts and listen to that planet money episode.
March 4, 2025 at 9:45 PM
Hey Chuck, can you get a party leader to clearly articulate what yall are doing? Or more importantly, rally the people and tell them what we should be doing?
“When I win, I will immediately bring prices down starting on day one.”

That’s what Trump promised. But you won’t you hear him say that tonight.

Inflation has gone up
Energy prices are up
Egg prices are up 15%
Housing costs are up
And so much more

Democrats will keep fighting for you.

Exactly! Columbia caved to the demands of wealthy and over protective parents and squashed their tradition of peaceful protest totally flat. With dire consequences. Universities are suppose to stand up for free speech, not discourage it.
I can’t forgive the people on my side who lost their minds over student protests
Every stupid university that unleashed militarized police on legal protestors set up the foundations for the violent persecution of free speech that’s about to come.
