This promises to be a fantastic evening! A chance to listen to Megan’s incredible stories about her upbringing and to find out all about why and how Cuan came to be - Megan is inspirational and will help to banish those January blues with her tales 😊 #Shropshire

It's #BabyWeek2025, but did you know that every baby in England, Wales & Northern Ireland is entitled to a free #Bookstart Baby pack?

Here's how our new Peter Rabbit book Four Happy Bunnies has been specially designed to support babies' development & help adults read aloud 👇

I've nominated The Shrewsbury Ark.

I'd be grateful if you could also nominate them, especially as they're struggling for funds over the winter.

@paulaflucas.bsky.social I’m so sorry Paula, I’ve only just caught up with the sad news about your Mum. Sending a huge belated hug. Be kind to yourself and go very, very gently 🫂

We came across an extreme version of the paperchase in The Railway Children on the Long Mynd today … pretty sure none of these runners were expecting this amount of water 💦 💧 😳 #Shropshire

Shropshire Hills Sunday … back up on a very wet and soggy Long Mynd at last. We were hoping for more blue skies but the autumn colours were still stunning. #Shropshire

#Birdoftheday is #Shadesofgrey … I came face to face with these beautiful tawny owlets on my very first day at Cuan and they’re still my favourite baby bird 🦉

1/2 This autumn must be one of the best we have seen for years. The colours have been incredible, turning a simple walk into a true feast for the senses. I couldn't resist following this carpet of glorious, crunchy orange leaves along Wenlock Edge, but the shot needed something extra. #Shropshire

Bird flu has arrived very early this year and Shropshire is already under DEFRA restrictions. We are receiving regular reports of dead and sick waterfowl. Please do not approach or “rescue” wild birds that are obviously ill - ring your local wildlife rescue for advice and report your find to DEFRA.
Your occasional reminder, if you’re in the UK, that it is shaping up to be a hideous bird flu season, with many wildlife casualties (including resident birds, not just winter migrants), and, however soft your heart, it is a Really Bad Idea to handle sick or ‘injured’ birds or bring them inside.
