It isn’t used by many - luckily- I think NEU research says 3% of schools ? - which begs the Q “why?” (It’s poor) but those who do IME are having it thrust upon them by SLT who think the way to achieve consistency is to get everyone using the same thing.

The problem now is that so much public I money has been pumped into it the DfE can’t ditch it.

And for the record I was never ‘on’ it.
Extremely poor resources& no willingness to listen to any advice on what needs changing (despite spending much of my unpaid time meeting people to talk about this)

This is our dog Nutmeg.

She will be 12 this month. She lost her eyesight gradually a couple of years ago. We knew she had cataracts from her milky eyes, but one day we realised they had got pretty bad. (How we realised how bad they had got is another story I will post on here at some point).

Agreed. Teacher Tapp isn’t an official researcher. They ask leading qs to a small % of teachers. Not generalisable to the profession as a whole. But oddly they’re treated as credible researchers by some, eg in this official-seeming (not peer-rev) article 🤷‍♀️
