Trump has removed signs at George Washington’s house in Philadelphia that inform the public about the history of slavery and signs at Fort Sumter that inform the public that the fort is at risk due to climate change.

Because history and science are like COVID: If you ignore them, they go away.

Death toll in Afghanistan when NATO answered the US’s call:
- 453 Britons
- 158 Canadians
- 89 French
- 59 Germans
- 53 Italians
- 44 Danes
- 17 Spaniards
“Stayed a little back, off the front lines “!
No one in the media will call him out over this lie or any of the others he spouts.
Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

Let's not blow this out of proportion. It was just an admin error. Two admin errors. A few admin errors. Seventeen admin errors worth £380,000.

It is important to acknowledge who is standing up and who is just trying to get by. Every day Americans are standing up while the powerful are mostly standing by.

Why aren't law firms standing up and sending lawyers to Minneapolis. Why aren't the corporations speaking out? Why isn't the media?

A sad reminder that so much of the media has succumbed to both-sides coverage. They are afraid of Trump and are paralyzed by the new challenges we face.

But they won’t so

5️⃣ He's going to do it for grand strategy reasons I've invented.

Our dependence on the US for our security is a problem. What was once seen as a strength is now a vulnerability. The French were right to develop an independent deterrent. Time for fabled brains at our top universities to figure out how we can address this.
Re PM’s statement, I get need to stay focused, avoid precipitate acts or over-heated rhetoric. But, it hewed too close to pretence that this is just normal diplomatic spat. It should’ve acknowledged we’re in seriously different territory, and shown more underlying steel. www.gov.uk/government/s...

This is so important. If you persist in misrepresenting or misunderstanding reality you give even more ammunition to populist liars who understand nothing.
It is really important to understand that the asylum hotel chaos of 2022-24 is a *failed experiment in closed borders* (in contrast to the liberal visa policy)

The hotel chaos comes from passing multiple laws that all claims will be refused & to stop processing claims

X has a UK office.

They are committing crimes daily under UK law.

If this were anyone else, would an investigation be taking place or would there be arrests?

So much for the Online Safety Act - something which can be ignored if you're a rich and powerful entity.

I think it's important to point out that this is not misuse. The tool was created with an ability to do that, in full knowledge of the consequences of how it would be used. It also would not be able to produce these kinds of images if not trained on this kind of data.
