where do people get desktop wallpapers nowadays?
i've collected some over the years, but finding new ones is like walking through an AI minefield. and if you find an artist you like, anything you download from social media is compressed to fuck. hi res art packs from itch?

got the steam controller working on the tv-mac, and for all its problems as a game controller, it remains absolutely undefeated as a controller shaped object for operating a desktop PC.

i can't lie - i like tiling window managers, and kind of dig hyprland's whole aesthetic. i had fun (and learned a lot) using it as an alternative desktop environment in fedora for a few months, but it was a bit too janky, and i didn't feel comfortable going to its noxious community for sup[...]

it's really unfortunate that mastadon Kleenex'd the fediverse, because its UI is awful.
