👇 Important 👇
Periodic reminder that large data leaks often have misleading information that needs to be verified and corroborated, and that just drawing conclusions without doing so is irresponsible.

Just a reminder, revealing the names and positions of government employees is not “doxxing,” no matter what Noem and her goons say!

Desperate for revenge - and with nothing to go on - the FSU has declared an injunction and used its media connections to make libellous accusations, putting an innocent trans person in danger while interfering with an ongoing legal process.

So much for "free speech".

It seems FSU got an injunction against our source, @bashback.bsky.social, after @ddosecrets.com received the data (and the injunction against publishing the data doesn't apply to us).

If FSU tries to fight us in court, they'll lose (there and in the real world).

The Free Speech Union commissioned a "security" report on us, so we tested their security. Turns out - it sucks.

We've now published the names of everyone who has donated to a FSU fundraiser, along with how much they gave and to which campaign.

These policies are a big reason that NYT doesn't get embargoed @ddosecrets.com data, and why their reporters (even ones I like) are never first in line to get access to restricted data.
In this in-depth interview Billie Jean Sweeney — a former editor at The New York Times — details how the paper shifted towards openly promoting anti-trans hatred, why this was directed from the very top, how some staff pushed back and the immense damage done by the NYT legitimizing bigotry.

A leaked DoJ memo calls for prosecutors to charge people who film ICE with “domestic terrorism”

They don’t want their atrocities documented.

They don’t want a historical record.

They don’t want the world to know.

That’s why we have to keep filming. Keep speaking out.
