I don't think it has penetrated the public consciousness how much cops are just straight up assholes. I'll never forget a convoy of them doing high speed tantrum laps around my First Hill block in 2020 with their sirens on, for no reason other than that they are big terrifying babies.
Taco Stand on Northgate was back open tonight. As I went we watch SPD go around in circles and turns on their sirens a few times. What is this? This seems very strange if they’re doing something wrong then talk to them. This felt like intimidation

Absolutely. At a minimum, someone must have made some bs argument about "balanced reporting" that meant they had to try to shiv Katie in some way to balance out all the very real corrupt things KUOW reported Harrell has done. No excuses for how long those corrections took to post. Way too long.

Bruce Harrell is a defender of rapists, a toxic misogynist, has a history of violent threats and more scandals and shady bullshit than any Seattle politician in recent history. Most normal ppl don't know any pf this. Local media is largely deferential to power.

We are just one day out from the Seattle local elections! Only 17.6% of King County voters and just under 20% of Seattle voters have returned their ballots. So far, only 1 in 17 young gen Z voters have voted, compared to more than 1 in 3 boomers. Don't forget to vote if you are eligible and want to.
