And one of the first survivors to step forward to try to stop Epstein? A trans woman, who was promptly mocked and villified by the New York Post, New York Magazine, the courts and law enforcement.

“Forestry in Tairāwhiti is a low-job, high-damage industry that survives by shifting billions of dollars of costs onto communities while exporting profits offshore. This report proves the current model is economically irrational, socially unjust, and environmentally catastrophic”
So we did a report on the true value of the Tairāwhiti forestry sector for the amazing @manucaddie.bsky.social and the Mana Taiao Tairāwhiti team. And I'm taking it as an endorsement that a forestry industry lobbyist called it "biased" and "incomplete"

‘Low-job, high-damage:’ Forestry not the great economic contributor it claims - report
The paper’s findings have been rejected by the NZ Forestry Owner’s Association as “biased”, “incomplete” and “narrowly-framed”.

people constantly hound rape victims for not prosecuting their rapists, saying they’re somehow responsible if the person rapes someone else. meanwhile if you try to prosecute, and you have actual audio evidence that you’ve been assaulted, it could still be used to put YOU through a trial

the "this is why we need humanities" thing when science is harmful is kind of a cop out tbh. it accepts the ideology of science as an acultural, apolitical knowledge system that needs to be balanced and/or mediated by the humanities and arts rather than a western system that needs to be decolonised.

ICE isn't a rogue agency. ICE are intentionally enacting the will of the current administration with their blessing.

They're lawful because Trump & MAGA have reimagined legality and law as anything they say and do.

Defunding ICE is like cutting the toenails on a gangrene leg.

Aim higher.
Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.

Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

i've been out in minneapolis all day, talking to locals and trying to wrap my head around the murder of alex pretti. it's 11.23pm, and this is what i've arrived at. please RT, it's free to read: www.webworm.co/alexpretti/
"Say His Name: Alex Pretti"
David Farrier's Webworm reports that Alex Pretti's gun never left its holster - before ICE agents removed it and killed him at point blank range.

I don’t mock anybody for looking after their health - you do what you have to do. But I don’t agree with the lectures to ‘be kind to yourself’ & ‘not watch the video.’ If possible you do need to see what the state does in your name, with your money, to people you know & who look like you.

hrt isnt scary, rle is fuckin scary, thats what kept me in the closet until i was almost 30, they still make people do it some places, like how many trans women heard about informed consent for the first time in the late '10s and went "oh shit for real?" and got on estrogen within weeks or days

the popular conception of fascism in at least the united states and canada is this idea that it is an abstract regime placed upon an unwilling populace, but typical for a settler population, this absolves who supported nazis. fascism is a nationalistic mass politics, as is trump or modi

Uncompromising in my demand for trans power and liberation.

Uncompromising in my solidarity with the working and oppressed peoples of the world. Solidarity which comes with the expectation that others are also uncompromising in pursuit of power and liberation for their own.
I strongly believe any leftist who demands trans people neglect the fight for trans rights for a different cause for reasons such as 'most trans people are actually part of a privileged group' is MASSIVELY detached from reality.
so detached, in fact, calling them 'left' feels wrong.
