It's not the intention to run Venezuela, only to take the oil fields.
It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

The only thing they will be doing is annexing the oil fields. They aren't really bothered about the people of Venezuela or even regime change.
American troops will be in Havana by the end of 2026. Bookmark it.

Greenland next
Psychopath Trump attacks Venezuela, kidnaps President and his wife.

The 21st Century bully wants oil, gas, minerals, puppet regimes.

What next - attack on Iran, Syria, Panama, Canada, Mexico, Denmark ... there is no limit to his stupidity.

The world must unite against new imperialism.

Only useless ones. The decent centre right ones left long ago after Johnson purge and the lurch to the right.
Farage: I won’t do a deal with the Tories because they were dishonest and incompetent.

Also Farage: We’re recruiting as many Tory MPs as we can.

Doubt they will merge as Farage would be seen off as leader by Jenrick , and have to slink away to form yet another party.
Reform’s mission statement:

“Conservatives have failed and Labour will fail too…
We are ruled by an out of touch political class who have turned their backs on our country.
Reform is the alternative”

Where ‘alternative’ = exactly the same stitch-up and failure inflicted by the same wealthy elite.
FT Exclusive: The Reform UK leader told donors he expects a deal or merger between his party and the Conservatives ahead of the next general election, suggesting he does not believe he can sweep to power alone. on.ft.com/44xlHi0

Of course it is. What else would you expect with Mason, Kuenssberg, Robinson, Rajan, O'Connell, and Davis.

Not quiet, still Jenrick, Braverman, Badenoch, and more to come.
Hi. We’re Reform. We’ve got all the worst Tories you can imagine, and a bunch of our own candidates who are even worse.

The bully is not the person to ask whether what they did caused hurt it is victim. All bullies across with intent.
Asked again and again whether he ever racially abused his fellow pupils, as 20 people at his old school have now said he did, Nigel Farage will only say that he never did so in a "hurtful way" or "with intent"

Well Lewis would know all about not being up to the job.
Labour MP Clive Lewis tells The Week in Westminster Starmer isn’t up to the job.

Is this the Amol Rajan who has campaigned fir the Tories.
#r4today Amol Rajan interviews Sudanese woman who claimed asylum in Scotland:

“Why Scotland?” — as if she needs permission to decide where to rebuild her life.

Did she arrive legally? What, exactly, is he implying?

And finally, the pervasive gratitude trope reinforcing expectations of passivity.

Not as bad as the pejorative term "small boat chancers" used by BBC presenter Paddy O'Connell
BBC using the phrase 'approved asylum seekers' today. It's technically correct I suppose, but emotionally barren - taking a word that inspires sympathy and turning it into a dead administrative phrase. They are refugees.

Wishful thinking on his part
"We are not very far away from major civil disorder" over migration, says Nigel Farage for the umpteenth time.

So far this "major civil disorder" has involved a handful of protests outside some hotels with around a hundred protesters at each

Unfortunately for many it is.
On Tuesday Nigel Farage will publish his proposals for mass deportations, Prison camps, leaving the European Convention on Human Rights & scrapping the Human Rights Act, quitting the Refugee Convention and the UN Convention against Torture - is that a country we want?

Are you saying he could once have tied his own tie? Wow
Referring to yourself in the third person is weird.

Saying you are always right is dishonest.

Wearing a ball cap in the Oval Office is tacky.

Using your left hand to cover up medical issues on your right hand is concerning.

And has he stopped being able to tie a tie?

MAGA
Make America Goddam Awful
August 24, 2025 at 5:40 PM
You can when you have abandoned even a pretence of impartiality.
sorry lads but you can’t air a clip of Chris fucking Philp on the news criticising Labour for the use of hotels for asylum seekers when it was Tory policy & not have that pointed out on the same fucking clip

Are you sure he didn't do a deal to sell Alaska to Russia? Only time will tell!
August 16, 2025 at 8:33 AM
Could Trump be doing a deal to sell Alaska back to Russia?
The speculation was:
UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Turkey, Switzerland, or the Vatican

The reality is:
USA

Wasn't expecting that.

Trump-Putin summit in Alaska next Friday.

Astute observation.

Shame that one of them didn't punch the supercilious, smarmbag.

A better name would be Deform because that's what they would do to this country.
Keir Starmer PM: Nigel Farage "has no interest in fixing the problem because he wants to milk and exploit it."

Reform will not fix this country, it wants to destroy it. ⚠️❗

I don't know Kwarteng personally. I do know he was out of his depth when Chancellor otherwise he wouldn't have crashed the economy.
