I saw mention in my feed of a boss who created a nickname for himself and tried to get his staff to use it.
Didn't work.
But it reminded me of the best names I ever heard for a Right Hand Guy / Bad Boss pair:

This is a *fabulous* test of the Frost Giants of Autocomplete: if they're wrong in stupid ways for stuff you know, why would you use them for stuff you don't?
Also I check to see what it hallucinates about me and/or my work, because that's a useful way to gauge how little to trust it on subjects where my domain knowledge is less complete than it is about, well, me.

This is a *fabulous* test of the Frost Giants of Autocomplete: if they're wrong in stupid ways for stuff you know, why would you use them for stuff you don't?
My knowledge of the Talmud comes from two courses taught by rabbis when I was an undergrad, but I love the flow and the affection of all these comments and citations that clearly deserve to exist.
What are the mitzves of Thanks Giving, a festive meal, to eat the turkey bird, to hear the story of thepilgrim, to watch the football game. And some say to argue with an uncle.

My mom, circa 1943, as a lieutenant in the RCNVR (the Wavy Navy). A nursing sister, she served at the military hospital in Avalon, Newfoundland (which was not part of Canada till after the war).
Late in life, she was delighted to learn that counted as "overseas."

I was curious how big a 90k sq.ft. foot ballroom would be next to the Whitehouse. I went to google maps & drew this. the goog tells me 90k sq.ft is 0.836 hectares. This box is 0.822 ha. I saw this and assumed he was opening the East and West WINGS to drilling, based on his knowing more about oil than anyone attached to reality.
The entire thread (this one's midstream) is worthwhile; this one really stood out.
What I’ve taken in over the last couple years is that when people have an irrationally outsized emotional response to doing a task,90% of the time it is because they can’t do it — not that they won’t do it. They can’t. And most people will die trying to prove why that’s someone else’s fault.
