Indeed, and it's tough to find any analogy to stress how absurd Trump's whole idea is. We can already use Greenland for any military purpose we want! Greenland is already defended by NATO, which includes us!

The only possible threat to any of that is... an inexplicably belligerent U.S. President.
Good rule of thumb for friends is to imagine if China decided to start loudly discussing taking Hawaii, and how quickly you'd see red, and how unfunny you'd find it, and how belligerent your reaction to it would be. That is how Europeans and Canadians feel about this rhetoric from the US.

Abolish ICE. Destroy their weapons and melt down their equipment. Deny their agents, employees, and bosses all government employment for all time. Remove the agency entirely from the budget and give the money to public libraries and free health care.

And one more thing. Students. If you have a professor who is, for some reason, outsourcing their own job to ChatGPT....drop the class.

If they tell you to "ask ChatGPT" for sources, drop the class.

Because they apparently don't know their own discipline well enough to teach it.

i still think the insanely funny part of this is that they simulated going to the grocery store instead of actually going
BARTIROMO: You're getting heat on social media for saying you can eat healthy for $3. Some people say, 'How am I supposed to get a piece of chicken for under $3?'

ROLLINS: When you eat healthy, it actually is less expensive than a fast food meal. We've got hundreds of simulations that show that.

"There comes a point where we have to start questioning whether or not he’s actually aware of what’s happening around him & the harm he’s doing. It’s similar to historical figures like Nero or Caligula. Their madness took over & they started doing wildly destructive things. Trump is in that place."

It’s amazing watching the U.S. cede the global auto market to China. We’re 24–36 months away from utter devastation in U.S. vehicle exports, because both automakers and the U.S. are scared of EVs, because a dozen petroleum executives have a whole political party at their beck and call.

Let us be real clear.

The Democratic Party has a duty.

To assure that people like Groyper Kyle Langford cannot just become a “Democrat” because of redistricting.

They have a duty to Democratic voters.

We shouldn’t be the ones having to vet and warn.

Watching them all fall in line to brazenly lie to protect their new secret police/terror squads from accountability for shooting a scared mom in the face 3 times, is a reminder (in case we still needed one) that it’s no where near enough to just replace Trump. It’s the entire immoral & corrupt GOP.
Mike Johnson on Renee Good: "This woman was taunting ICE officers. She was impeding law enforcement. She was violating a number of laws. They were very patient ... what I saw was she hit the accelerator and hit the ICE officer and he reacted in a split second."

Grocery prices were up 0.7 percent in December, the largest one-month gain since October 2022. They were up 2.4 percent from a year ago.

At some point you'd think all those Fraternal Orders of Police would say "this is demeaning to the vital work we do, part of which is respecting people's rights" but that's not going to happen because they agree with him, to them the job is being a thin-skinned bully and shooting people.
Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.
