On this day in 1981, Rush released their iconic album Moving Pictures.
The album featured the classics Limelight, Tom Sawyer, YYZ and Vital Signs.
It hit #1 in Canada and the USA and sold 5.5 million copies. It earned 6 Juno nominations (winning one) and a Grammy nomination.

On this day in 1929, Norman Albert gave the play-by-play for the third period of a game at Toronto's Arena Gardens on CFCA. On Feb. 16, Foster Hewitt made his broadcast debut.
The first complete broadcast of a professional game would happen on March 14, 1923 on CKCK in Regina.

On this day in 1949, a fire at the Regina Transit bus barn destroyed 17 trolley coaches, nine buses, five steel streetcars and nine wooden streetcars. With most of its public transit fleet gone, the city replaced it with diesel buses.

According to an Order in Council former Regina mayor Sandra Masters has been hired by Premier Scott Moe's office as a deputy chief of staff for communications.

She'll have a salary of $14,221 a month. (That's significantly more than she ever made as mayor)
