It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

Fully backed. Creator voices clearly only matter so much. The people actually spending money on the product may be a different story. If you can, let Patreon know how badly decisions like this disrupt the lives of creators, and that they should prioritise those creators before App Store placement.

Honestly if you're a member of someone's Patreon, consider emailing support and tell them bowing to apple sucks and you don't care about the app
They've upended my life once again and are making me prepare for a forced billing model switch. I was so happy last year when it was frozen. Fuck this so, so hard

Yeah, I recommend not using the patreon apple app to join. Just go on the website, it's 1. cheaper for YOU to support your favorite creatures and 2. All the money you give goes to the creator.

Just heard an AI ethicist talk about how important it is that we say ‘MEN are using Grok to undress images of babies, children and women’ not ‘Grok is….’. Grok isn’t responsible for the action, the men enabling & using it for this repulsive purpose are. Small but important bit of linguistic accuracy
