Minneapolis should press its momentum and demand not only withdrawal but start talking about the need for immediate reparations, loudly, with the total certainty that only winners have. "You have wronged us terribly and must pay recompense" and let them argue the second part.

At the very least, Senate Democrats must use their leverage to disarm ICE, prohibit it from using racial or ethnic profiling, end arrest quotas, and remove agents’ immunity from criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits.

Please call your senators now at 202-224-3121 and say NO more funding for ICE.

Protected speech made my agents murder these people, says federal official

The only people who have died have been people exercising their constitutional rights while masked, armed federal paramilitaries have violently invaded an entire state to do a wholesale ethnic cleansing campaign.

Very little if anything seems to have changed on the ground. ICE is still out there terrorizing neighborhoods and trying to disappear neighbors. None of us on the ground are buying this bullshit. We will keep organizing and fighting.
The intense fallout from the killing of Alex Pretti has forced President Trump to publicly change course in Minneapolis.

Listen to our White House reporters discuss the changes on today's episode of "The Daily."
Trump Changes Course in Minneapolis
The White House has been met with broad outcry over the killing of Alex Pretti, as well as pushback from Congress.

In case you are unaware:
-it’s not illegal to have a group chat
-it’s not illegal to film anyone in public (and it’s important, bc otherwise people just disappear)
-it’s not illegal to tell people when you see masked officers
-it’s not illegal to collect and distribute food

ICE must leave MN.

Obviously, this isn't fixed by throwing Greg Bovino or Kristi Noem under a bus. The secret police are the problem! It's Trump/Vance who've said the masked paramilitary goons terrorizing neighborhoods have "absolute immunity" and their brutal tactics "haven't gone far enough."

It's not just ICE leaving Minnesota, it's stopping this authoritarian test case right here -- not just sending it to Wisconsin or Colorado or Maine. So that is my plea to the United States Senate: stop *all* business as usual.

An appropriate reaction to the federal government attacking a WHOLE STATE -- murdering, disappearing, brutalizing, kidnapping our neighbors isn't to just haggle over the funding for one agency. It's to stop all business as usual until this ends.

I'll repeat my ask to Democratic Senators here: don't vote for the DHS funding bill, yes. AND ALSO do not vote for another single thing in the United States Senate until the invasion and occupation of Minnesota ends. Don't vote to name a post office, dedicate a road, or even a procedural motion

Come together for what? Progress towards what? I’m genuinely asking. The federal government is murdering Minnesotans and disappearing our neighbors. So if any of these CEO’s want to explain to me personally what I — as a state leader — should ask the federal government for, I’m available.
A letter released Sunday by the leaders of more than 60 Minnesota companies — including the CEOs of Target, General Mills, UnitedHealth Group and 3M — called for local and federal leaders to “come together to foster progress.”
Live: Minnesota's high-profile CEOs break silence, call for ‘immediate deescalation’
The letter marks a notable shift from Minnesota’s top employers, who had previously remained quiet about the surge of immigration officials in the state and the killing of Renee Good.

Bill Kristol’s messaging is better than most Democrats’. We don’t need better trained Nazi slavecatchers in our streets.
Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

With today's shooting, that debate should be over. Standing up and using every iota of your limited power is not just the right thing to do; it’s the righteous thing to do.
