Early in his first term I went “wait a minute, I can simply not do this” and stopped sharing, thinking I was dunking on, or even reacting to him. It’s so much better this way, for so many reasons.

i'd also like to directly confront the idea that, well, for "some reason", things that used to be forums, wikis, websites ended up on discord.
it's not a mystery. running a website, wiki, whatever, is hard. maintaining a community is hard. getting people to engage with things is hard.

What I see often in activist spaces is almost obsessive concern over something that’s basically unavoidable: being identified as an activist.
But then, lots of actions taken that INCREASE risk along those other dimensions: destroying evidence and recordings, aggressive and escalatory behavior, etc.
