You should legally be required to do the job of your lowest paid employee for 6 months before you're allowed anywhere close to an executive position. That'd fix a lot of this shit (not all, but a lot, eliminating executives altogether would be better still, but baby steps).

I think a lot of people don’t understand how efficient and intricate the MC / Visa call operations are and how a limited but dedicated number of people can completely derail things
If this keeps happening, managers notice, managers of managers notice.
Satisfaction numbers for the service as a whole go down. If it keeps going long enough, they risk damage to the brand.
"You can't get through to VISA if something is wrong" is not a reputation they want.
