Lmao they want to bury the whole industry. At least 4 studios I know people inside had to resshuffle heavily at each of these delays, the last one was pretty dire already. This one will hurt.

QA is not just about bug hunting, but overall, as the name mention, Quality. It does and should touch things like UX, involving accessibility, and others. Whatever Square wants is removing something that only human eyes can perceive. Quality isn't a science.

this sort of learned helplessness is going to be extremely dangerous as it permeates adulthood - why bother to learn to drive if the car does it for you, why bother to learn medication interactions, why bother why bother why bother

My nieces and nephews could not comprehend how I could draw, how I was drawing something right in front of them. This sucks.
I spotted this on Mastodon and I find it horrible, not least for the speed with which this has happened.

And I'll say it loud, these ghouls push talent who cares out of the industry but aren't pushed out. They don't care about whatever they are involved, so people who are burn out under these pests.
I truly can't stress this enough: No one's art is good enough to justify them being miserable to work with. Almost everyone I've worked with has been wonderful, but the handful of folks that weren't brought the whole team down by being egotistical, sexist, condescending, etc.
