Yeah I had a similar effect going on until I grew a beard during lockdowns. Fond memories of being asked if I was old enough to sit in an exit row on a plane (the requirement is to be 15 and I was at the time 27)

For how much main Pokemon games sell on average, this is a budget designed to never have to worry about not making profit.

I would LOVE to know how the budget for "actually making new guys" is allocated. With how broadly they're used I can't imagine the budget for gen 10 actually includes all the costs of creating the 80 new Pokemon from scratch
