You cannot have a functioning economy when so few people at the top hold so much of the nation’s wealth. It’s not sustainable.

This has been a challenging year, but time & time again, Marylanders have stepped up to help neighbors in need.

That spirit shines through at Nourishing Bethesda and I am grateful for their work supporting families this holiday season and all year long.

Young adults deserve to feel supported as they transition into adulthood.

That’s why California is investing $56M to expand access to housing so our youth never have to choose between their education, paying rent, or putting food on the table.

We won’t leave them behind.

Federal judge busts the IRS in its illegal data-sharing scheme with DHS where IRS was giving ICE confidential info of undocumented immigrants WHO ARE PAYING THEIR TAXES to help ICE find & deport them.

My breakdown of this shocking news and the judge’s scathing order.

After ousting the BLS director and scrapping the October jobs and inflation reports, Trump is now canceling release of the advance Q3 GDP estimate.

Trump doesn't mind turning the lights off on the economy because he’d rather Americans not know how badly it’s doing under him.

Fab thread.

Truly nothing beats the moment when you're so surprised by executing something you've been working on that you lose it mid-stream and fall over/start crying or laughing/drop everything/however your body reacts 🤸🏻‍♀️ 🤸🏻‍♀️ 🤸🏻‍♀️
There's a part of learning, which generative AI completely turns into dogshit, which is *doing something you could not have done before*

Whether it's drawing, playing an instrument, solving a physics problem, organizing an essay, you find yourself doing easily what previously you found overwhelming

What is your BEST Thanksgiving side-dish, the one people yell at you over if you try to sub something else into the rotation? Mine is this, but use queso blanco for the cheese.

every single thing hegseth says in public reveals a bottomless pit of insecurity
When you draw a platoon leader like Hegseth, it’s your worst nightmare. You just ride it out until he’s gone and gets replaced by someone who isn’t a complete jackass. Only a fool like Trump would put one of them in charge of the entire defense department.

Donald Trump and Russ Vought already sidelined the financial cop on the beat protecting you from scams.

Now they want CFPB staff to recite a “humility” pledge to kiss up to the big banks.

Got the flu last year on Thanksgiving and it really sucked. Obviously vaccine is no guarantee you won’t get it, but it’s basically free with no downside and is, imho, a no-brainer.

Good study from KCL: “Terms like 'bots' or 'trolls' no longer capture the full variety of online manipulation. Today, we observe a spectrum of actors ranging from fully automated accounts to 'cyborgs'…co-ordinated troll farms, and loyalist users who…become part of orchestrated campaigns.”
This is useful recent research on how the “bot” category breaks down into people and actual bots - “inauthentic participation” is the unifier www.kcl.ac.uk/orchestrated...
