If you’re working from home on the north side today, it sounds like there have been a lot of 🧊 sightings in neighborhoods along the northern end of the brown line. Consider stepping outside and watching your block, especially during school dismissal. People are scared and could use friendly faces.

I've been anxious about racial solidarity in an environment where republicans are eager to divide & conquer minority communities through antagonism on labor, crime, immigration, housing etc and it gives me a lot of hope to see guys out there unafraid to do/say what is right.

Our building group chat just experienced a schism because one white dude wanted it to remain "apolitical" and the rest of the group wanted very much to know when ICE was around and how to respond
soooo my Chicagoans, has anyone else's neighborhood facebook group gone from desperately apolitical (regarding federal politics) to at least 40% about ICE/DHS activity and organizing against it? like it's hard to overstate this shift
