Saw a post recently about how the first Avatar movie was about a white former military guy literally puppeteering an indigenous body to trick his way into their community and they treat him like the best guy to ever come their way and how thats a colonialist wet dream and i cant stop thinkin bout it

i know a lot of people label me a killjoy for this but i truly cannot celebrate thanksgiving in any real way. i cant give a fuck about a parade, when it is a parade celebrating a genocide. it is nice eating food and seeing family, but it is monstrous that we use a false history as basis to do so.
