You filming today?" Panel 3: A close up of Reika's mouth as she replies, "No. I"m not coming in." Then, "I'm sick." The voice on the other end of the line says, "Okay." Panel 4: The voice says "just don't watch the news." Similar close up of Reika's mouth as she asks, exasperatedly, "Oh, Christ. What now?" Panel 5: Reika is bundled up on her couch with a thermometer in her mouth. The TV is on, illumnating the room from off screen. Voices from the TV can be heard, speech bubbles indicating as much say the following: "Mister president! Don't eat that baby!" and "Little babies! Oh, I love the little babies! Their soft little skulls" which is accompanied by crunching sound fx. The final speech bubble, coming from some kind of political pundit on TV, says, "Enough with the woke moralizing! There is nothing in the constitution that says the president can't eat babies." Reika is staring off into the middle distance, consumed by the delirium of her flu, while the horror of the news washes over her. The narrative text, from her POV, reads: "It's not like I haven't tried anything else..." Then from off panel, the employer says, "Let's take a look at your..." The reader's gaze moves from that word balloon to the resume clutched in hand completing the sentence by reading the word Resume. Panels 2, 3, and 4, illustrate three different jobs and the reasons Reika was fired from them. In 2 she is a barista and she throws coffee into a police officers face while yelling "fuck off pig!" In 3 she is a pizza delivery girl for a company called Deep Dick Pizza--she is fired for having sex with the customer, but in this version, the panel is censored. She says, "If you don't tip now I'll kill you." In panel 4, she is working as a gas station attendant and has set fire two two men in their car. The word bubbles here read "Burn!" and "Nazi scum!" The final panel returns us to the office where her interview is being conducted. The employer is pointing towards the door and saying "You should be in prison! Get out!" Reika is doing the eto bleh face and pose. the final narrative text reads "... but that's okay. I know what I'm good at."
