Can we give this franchise is proper respect, please? Especially under #FrancisLawrence’s stewardship. This, like the others, looks fantastic. #TheHungerGames #SunriseOnTheReaping @lionsgate.com #FilmSky youtu.be/MPjxijuBuSo?...

Saw the trailer for this last weekend and I’m there opening weekend. Looks incredible.
y'know, The Testament of Ann Lee is an extraordinary film

i loved it at TIFF, but even then i'd underrated it, just the finest piece of filmmaking, and it's mad that Seyfried isn't a lock for Best Actress

🤣🤣🤣…facts.
I’d like to see Claire Danes play a lady for whom everything is going great and nothing worries her at all. Maybe she’s not even a lead, just the lead’s friend who lives in comfort, amusement, and delight.

I think she’s earned it.

In terms of these “part 2 of 2” movies, it’s a lot closer in quality to ‘Dune Part Two’ than ‘It Chapter Two’. Concurrently, that #WickedForGood might, in any way, come off as “the movie we need right now” is very much an indictment of our stupid, stupid world (right now).
Review: 'Wicked: For Good' Is Wicked Good
Jon M. Chu and friends deliver the show’s challenging blend of kid-friendly fantasy and cynical dystopian political melodrama in a finale that sticks the landing.

Watching this today, this take is absolutely 💯!
Materialists hit me in a really specific way, as a film made by someone genuinely disturbed by the inhuman, transactional behaviour of many people around her, and how that has destabilized our sense of self-worth and the value we see in others

#CelineSong, after just two directorial efforts, “might” be a unicorn. One of the best films of 2025. Definitely the best horror film of 2025. I’m so serious about that last sentence. #Materialists @a24movies.bsky.social #FilmSky

You know what I feel needs more love?
Dr. Sleep (2019)

Ewan McGregor is such a fun presence, and Rebecca Ferguson as Rose the Hat has got to be a horror movie all time villain.

20 years later (wow), V FOR VENDETTA still holds so much power, even in these times of strife and fascism.

I remember that screening at BNAT, when it blew the roof off. It still does.

Ideas are still bulletproof.

my hottest take about Munich is that the flashback/sex scene at the end of the movie is one of the most daring, morally complex, beautifully rendered scenes in a movie from the 2000s, and people only crap on it because we’re all too juvenile and afraid of sex

reading epstein's emails and it's clear how far down the drain the republican party has gone to protect trump.

sure, they protected him when he was impeached twice. and now, hoo boy.

Yeah, so... I'm sorry, but I definitely prefer Kenneth Branagh's version of Frankenstein, with all his theatrical excesses and operatic tendencies--and Patrick Doyle following him to the ends of the earth.

Lawsuit incoming for Bari and CBS. 🤣
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.
