Calling the requirement for a judicial warrant before entering a person’s home one of the Democrats’ “new restrictions on federal immigration agents” crosses the line into outright falsehood. It’s in the Bill of Rights! A rule as old as the republic.

Glad this is getting covered, but also… Completely surreal to read the NYT report on this as recently disclosed info, and just an allegation. This happened to every observer I know! It happened to me twice! I have it on video both times! www.nytimes.com/2026/02/13/u...

My sense of Minnesota today is that there’s less tear gas and the same amount of unlawful detention, destruction of families, loss of livelihood, people in hiding.

There is less tear gas at places like Lake and Lyndale, so it’s not making news.

Notice how the popular media narrative has moved on, while people on the ground in Minneapolis are still struggling and crying out that things are as bad as ever. This is how fascist regimes operate — overreach, recalibration, normalization. Get louder, not quieter.

I feel like the public in general don’t need that much guidance to understand that sex trafficking and abuse are very bad. I think we’ve got that part quite well. We may however need a bit of instruction on e.g. “groups of billionaire criminals have been actively working to destroy democracy”.

Biden lowered drug prices.

Drug companies sell their drugs overseas at vastly cheaper prices. They're insanely overpriced here because our governed values lobbying money more than constituents' health.

She is the WORST and total GARBAGE!

Strength is not posturing over Trump’s mouth noises.

Strength is standing up to ICE and using your power to STOP harm to US. Slotkin is a capitulator in chief, and stands ten toes down with ICE, no matter what the fuck they do.

Never let her forget it.
In case you missed it, Senator Slotkin makes a great point here about how lawyers have advised her to lay low and not make any waves with Trump. And instead, she has done the exact opposite by standing up to him. This is the way. open.substack.com/pub/jimacost...

🚨HOLY CRAP. The Trump admin just took a SLEDGEHAMMER to due process, largely eliminating the Board of Immigration Appeals process and MANDATING DISMISSAL of ALL appeals (which cost $1,000 thanks to OBBBA) filed after tomorrow unless a majority of the BIA votes to hear the case.

This is a good list, and also:

It’s clear that he’s an ineffective and occasionally counterproductive leader of his caucus, and he should resign his leadership position immediately and his senate seat pending a special election for his successor.
Some people are asking what I want Schumer to do. He should be screaming over medical care and access to facilities. He should be going to detention facilities himself and putting his body on the line, as he did at the border in 2019. He should lean into stories about New Yorkers in detention. [1/4]

We have enough evidence for UBI in general that this policy should be a given. But the difference is, to understand UBI works is to believe that people are fundamentally good. And a big chunk of society is built around the belief, *must maintain the belief* that people are fundamentally bad.

I think people often wonder this, and it's a great question, so let me explain the advantages of 3D printing whistles. There are many.

The 3D printing effort started from one of our organizers who started by sourcing mass-produced whistles.
I mean, are they really cheaper or easier to produce than just sourcing the right thing from a mass distributor? it's sweet but doesn't seem Pareto efficient, and I feel like that's important to the revolution

But MANY trans girl scouts only have 20, 30, 40 boxes sold.

I just resorted our list to put those on the top.

On the question of whether to quit over principles or stay and try to resist from within, the answer seems clear as far as lawyers who are needed to file cases is concerned: quit
Hard to overstate the degree to which DOJ's simple manpower bandwidth has totally collapsed, at a time when the government is being overwhelmed with litigation against its crime spree, because attorneys are quitting en masse and willing new hires are both few in number and wildly unqualified.
