Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is fun so far! I must admit, I do miss the long opening of the original/3DS remake; I think it’s neat to have an adventure game segment start out a what’s otherwise a pretty standard JRPG. Still, the game is pretty and I’m hopeful I can finally finish DQ VII this time lol

If you haven't played this demo, you should. I didn't know what to expect when it dropped on Steam a few weeks back, but it's REALLY good.
I don't like fast forward toggles in games. I watched a video where someone played a Pokemon game with the fast forward toggle on the entire time, and I just can't help but think that if you feel you have to do that, maybe you should play something else?

I wonder if I would've become a big Souls fan had I played this when it came out. I remember watching people stream it back in the day (on Ustream lol) and thinking it looked SO cool. After the series embraced the whole "these games are TOO hard 😈" thing, I kinda lost interest

I think there's a serious issue with people believing that negative reception to a game is somehow "more honest" than positive reception, and that if someone hates something, they are to be trusted. It leaves little room for honest, dissenting opinion.
