I live in a very red town in rural ClackCo. People here still think that “the cities” are hijacking the “real Oregon” from its conservative true citizens. Much kool aid is being guzzled re. all the politics of the day (Trump, ICE, Renee Good, etc.). Delusion is not a strong enough word.
I've been thinking a lot lately about what the Trump administration is doing to the Republican party in states like MN and OR (the state I'm most familiar with). One thing I've noticed is that OR Republicans seem to be slowly reckoning with the fact that their brand has become toxic to voters.
If the admin's strategic goal was to break public resistance to immigration enforcement activities, it was a tactical mistake to go to the Twin Cities.

The problem is, this country is such a horror show right now — it’s very difficult to know what topic to address. I called again on immigration but too many choices!
