Tom Homan, who was later named President Trump’s border chief, was recorded in September 2024 accepting a bag with $50,000 in cash in an undercover FBI investigation, according to people familiar with the case, which was later closed by Trump administration officials.

Twelve individuals with visible gang-related tattoos were moved to another cell, while Plaintiff Abrego Garcia remained with eight others who, like him, upon information and belief had no gang affiliations or tattoos. 123. A comment left by attorney Sam Karimzadeh on the San Jose Spotlight news article "San Jose bans homeless people renting RVs." Text reads: "This is an unconstitutional “regulatory taking” without compensation that’s going to ultimately end up costing San Jose more money in economic damages and attorney’s fees than it would cost to build new low-cost RV parks. It astounds me that Mahan’s San Jose will spend $1,000 on hating and harassing homeless people before it will spend $100 on actually housing them. It’d be pathetic if it weren’t so mean spirited and stupid. The Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution prohibits the government from taking property without fair compensation. Owners of RVs, previously able to rent out their RVs to housing insecure persons looking for shelter that is better than a tent, rent these because they are cheaper than structures. The ridiculous housing market created an organic pocket of supply/demand for this product – used RV rentals. The City Council just engaged in a “regulatory taking” by making it so people who previously were able to put their property to productive economic use now may not. I cannot stress this enough – this is a form of compensable damages payable to the RV owners, who now don’t even have to take the risk / responsibility of loaning out their RVs. Effectively, they get money for not having to do anything at all because the City of SJ forbids them from doing so! Overnight, to placate deranged suburban NIMBYs who reflexively hate poor people, the City Council did something very stupid and created a ton of legal liability for San Jose. (I can tell you as a class action attorney myself, I’d be licking my chops in anticipation of getting one of these cases.) How unimaginably stupid – that a small but loud group of hateful property owners effectively bullied SJ City Council into creating liability for ALL SJ taxpayers. The City Council should immediately repeal this outrageously stupid, liability-creating prohibition."

law enforcement officials say they made a proactive check at Rep. Hortman's home after a lawmaker who lived nearby was shot and found a "police vehicle in the driveway with emergency lights and what appeared to be a police officer at the door coming out of the house." He was actually the gunman.

Yesterday, I met with a 12 year old boy in Oxnard, CA. His mom and dad have been fieldworkers for over 20 years.

ICE agents snatched his parents from the fields and left this boy alone with no clue when he’ll see them again.

A 6th grader.
