The New Yorker article is paywalled but you can get info here, including numbers that should chill the shit out of you (e.g., 5.6 MILLION excess child malaria cases, of which 42,000+ were fatal)

At a minimum, Prasad and Makary should lose their licenses for blatantly lying to the public about kids dying from the COVID19 vaccine, when the actual investigation found that zero deaths were certain to have been caused by vaccination.

Despicable, egregious, murderous behavior.

Just discovered an insane new form of co-intelligence where you briefly share the mind of a great thinker in history and then a portion of their mind travels in yours for the rest of your life. Calling it a "book."

This confirmed something I've been saying for a while about what Great Replacement Theory gets wrong about immigrants in general: The 1st-gen immigrants represent an opportunity for the right, which is undone among 2nd-gen immigrants by the racism cooked into the right's anti-immigrant politics.

"The country has yet to understand these changes and runs the risk of collapsing distinct histories into a singular Black experience, exacerbating rather than reducing racial tensions, and clinging to a caricature of what it means to be Black in America."

Very informative piece.

I maintain that this is the best Christmas album in no small part because the movie itself is about being sad at the holidays (a thing pop culture was allergic to depicting for a long time) but which most people are, and the album just captures that vibe perfectly
And since you asked, it's this one.

A.i.’s effect on the Internet is going to be the standard example of the tragedy of the commons in Econ 101. Within a generation, they won’t believe that we had a working, useful system and allowed it to be poisoned like this.

If she had won Michigan, she STILL WOULD HAVE LOST THE ELECTION.

If you want to blame voters for current conditions, feel free to blame the actual demographic responsible for Trump and that is WHITE PEOPLE.
