Megyn Kelly claimed Epstein was into “the barely legal type,” referring to 15 year-olds.

So I wrote about how her comments highlight the ways both purity culture and rape culture sexualize young girls and make male desire their responsibility.

The Barely Legal Type: Purity Culture, Rape Culture, and America’s Lose-Lose Proposition for Girls
The very parts of American culture that claim to promote teen abstinence and sexual purity operate on a parallel logic to the rape culture that enables the darkest misogynistic violence against women.

throwing around mental health slurs isn’t big or clever but it’s also very easy to pick and choose possible side effects of medication. These are for propanol and citalopram, both regularly prescribed and you can find this on MOST medication that’s prescribed. congrats on being sold into the fear

3rd graders started off quiet at #TeachIn and simmered before leaping through the curriculum -- we got further than my presentation and I had to move to the whiteboard. When I connected their slang with Shakespeare 🔥 💡🚨⚡🕯️

I don't think most people (myself included) are seeing the whole picture of how bad the frictionless gambling on phones/games is right now. Across so many different spheres, presenting in so many different ways. A reporter needs to cast the big sweeping net on that. Bigger net than you're imagining

I never feel more pressure than the night before a #TeachIn . I just spent 30 minutes trying to add Evillene into my workshop on Bias and the Wicked Witch of the West. That requires way too much context for 20 minutes #AlsoILiveInFlorida

This isn't a sentence I expected to read when I researched the illustrator for Baum's #WickedWitchoftheWest
"The royalties from the print and stage versions of The Wizard of Oz were sufficient to allow Denslow to purchase Bluck's Island, Bermuda, and crown himself King Denslow I."

my most extensive AI interaction of the past year or so was using Chrome's native chatbot to ask how to remove the Gemini button from the browser. turns out you can't! it told me to adjust a setting i didn't have access to!
To me, the biggest tell that AI is massively overvalued is that Big Tech has to keep shoving it in our faces. I just noticed Chrome has a 'Gemini' button at the top of the browser, and I'm getting prompts all over the place, including Zoom, to 'try AI.'

This anthology features my YA sci-fi story, “To Fly or Not to Fly.” It’s about dreams, hopes, and the perils of meeting your idols. The story was inspired by the time I jumped into traffic to save a child… Write what you know, eh? 😌
