It's no longer about restoring what was before. It's about building what comes after.
Will someone please challenge these pardons in court so we can at least get a case going? Trump's abuse of presidential pardon power *demands* a court to state what the limits are. It's a dare for SCOTUS too, because we know how they'll rule, but they gotta take the mask off to make that ruling.
President Trump issued pardons to two people convicted of crimes stemming from the events of Jan. 6, 2021, but not directly tied to the attack on the Capitol, expanding the scope of the broad clemency he had already granted to those caught up in the prosecutions related to the riot.
Trump Pardons Two for Crimes Related to Jan. 6
Daniel Edwin Wilson and Suzanne Kaye had been convicted of crimes indirectly connected to the 2021 attack on the Capitol.

made a similar point on the opinions podcast this week in response to the idea that epstein is a dead end. not only are actual voters interested in this but it divides the gop and puts pressure on the president. it would be political malpractice to treat it as a sideshow
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

Right when thousands of flights have been canceled too, no less. Granted, this time around it’s less the airlines’ fault than Trump’s and Mike Johnson’s.
BREAKING: The Trump administration is officially withdrawing a Biden-era plan to require airlines to pay passengers cash compensation when flight disruptions are caused by the airlines.

Can we just take a minute and acknowledge that our POTUS is right OUT IN THE OPEN lobbying Congressional members to vote against releasing the Epstein files?! Like... what the fuck else does anyone even need to know?
November 13, 2025 at 1:32 AM
I think it's pretty telling that the Republicans thought that, in order to take the pressure off to release all the files, they needed to release a MINIMUM of 23,000 emails! Some of which implicate Trump already!
Let's be clear about this: This is the Republicans trying to get in front of the inevitable blowout scandal by releasing just enough #Epsteinfiles documents to remove the pressure for a discharge petition to release ALL of them, now that Grjalva has been sworn in.

So, so many. One I'll pick from my youth: Watership Down, by Richard Adams. It was the first time I had the experience of reaching the end of the book and being crestfallen that this was the end of the story. I wanted it to go on forever. That book was real magic.

Earlier this week it seemed certain the Democrats were going to roll over the Republicans in the midterms.
Now it looks like they've agreed to not even have midterms, and to permanently become the Republicans' patsy.
Such terrible politics. We get nothing, they get everything. It's over.
