took this stance real early on, have been paying close attention, and i have yet to see a single thing that manages to challenge that opinion even a little bit, rather than solidifying it into diamond-hard conviction
I'm an "A.i." abolitionist.

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.

Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.

But consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." that are based on theft, push disinfo, and can be manipulated by billionaires?

No.

I know it is just the law and all that , but it still jars to see ‘Graham Linehan cleared of harassment’ when I think of just how much he has harassed (and spread lies about) friends of mine and never been shy of bothering me either .

As a cis woman with short hair whose favorite outfit is a T-shirt and men’s jeans (they’re cheaper, more durable, and have POCKETS!) I’ve already had the ‘pleasure’ of anti-trans bigots trying to protect women from women like me.

Anti-trans bigotry simply misogyny. Always has been. Always will be.
If the EHRC had their way we'd see all women forced back into wearing only skirts and dresses and wearing their hair long lest they be suspected of being trans and banned from going to the toilet.

That's what this is suggesting. Masculine women being denied access alongside trans people.

What is it with these hero passes rather than taking the four yards and keeping the drive moving on third down.

This is ridiculous.

Who is going to pay nearly double for a slightly cheaper running cost? Affordability goes alongside raw value.

😢🇫🇷

Anyone recommend a French Tutor in the midlands for an adult learner who want to be able to actually talk with people while in France rather than the basic platitudes?

Leicestershire, Derbyshire or Staffordshire preferred.

Anything to do with recent polls showing the Greens beating Labour I wonder?

I'm not complaining, I would rather they be pushed left than continue to be Temu Reform.

Maybe they could try stopping persecuting the disabled, trans people and immigrants next.

Weird that the Indie is able to defend the BBCs accurate reporting on Trump and pro-Israel bias but when it comes to their clear anti-trans bias crickets - even though it is mentioned in the article.

The BBC has bigger impartiality problems than its coverage of Trump
The BBC is facing allegations of bias over its coverage of Trump and Israel, writes Alan Rusbridger. But it is the entire governance structure – rather than individual stories – that should cause the ...

I see the Guardian now thinks it has the final word on Vegan Sausages. Trashing the meaty tasting ones as processed.

Dude, they are all super processed - they are sausages made out of non-meat products. What did you expect?

And sorry the squishy ones plan ones you like, taste awful.

Will our survey of supermarket meatless sausages reveal hearty but healthy veggie bangers or rubbery tubes mechanically stuffed with joyless compost?

I’ve seen on the media how pundits amusingly refer to Zack Polanski as if entirely propped up by social media & youngsters’ ‘vibes’ but to this middle aged women (who has no TikTok account) he seems the most serious political leader in sight talking about real issues with conviction and directness 🤷🏻‍♀️

A for profit company inherently needs to earn more money than a public one becuase it needs to pay (very large amounts) to it's shareholders. A public company doesn't, so it costs less to run.
We pay for them either way. I'd rather the one where my money pays for the water, not the shareholders.

Duncan almost every other country in the world has nationalised water and many of them have far less shit in their rivers. Most of our private energy companies are literally other countries state run companies. Privatisation of national monopolies has patently been a disaster.
