It took my a while to realise this wasn’t a ‘The Balkan countries can’t play each other rule’ and I assumed that that there was some kind of political reason to why we couldn’t play Argentina, Spain and France

People are dunking on this post, but it’s correct, a United Angevin Empire and the Ottoman empires are the only real empires, all others are figments of your imagination (apart from the Holy Roman Empire, which historians haven’t been able to work out if it was real or not)

The problem with choosing Stella Creasy is that overcoming a 30% majority will require a slightly dirty by-election campaign, and you would probably want a less sympathetic target for that (or failing that a less high profile sympathetic target but that still wouldn’t be ideal)

It’s wild that breaking a dumb manifesto pledge you’ve broken in spirit anyway is unthinkable, but carrying out one of the most radical reforms to the justice system in centuries without mentioning it in the manifesto is perfectly fine

Our constitution is fine (if you have a majority for it in parliament you can do it as an excellent principle), the issue is our insane way of handing out a majority

It’s been clear for a while the conservatives party deserves to die, and I’m afraid any not evil centre right person just has to vote for the Lib Dems (which aren’t a centre right party) and hope they deliver electoral reform which will allow for the existence of a not evil centre right party

I don't think it is callous of me to observe that it is weird to see the PM of the UK, the leader of the Opposition of the UK, and the ex UK PM all putting out solemn and devastated tweets about the death of a podcaster who is only a big name if you're constantly on Twitter

Not a single elected dem is even going to come remotely close to what Lee and a whole bunch of elected GOP officials did. They’re all going to express sympathy and condemn political violence and we’re of course going to get a billion different “both sides” articles in the coming weeks

If an Asylum seeker has come from Afghanistan they are a legitimate refugee and what we should be doing is processing them and settling them faster. It’s a fundamental human right to not have to live under the Taliban.
