Here's to hope. All we've got left.
Hmmm. Indianapolis might want to step up their bike friendly marketing.
Minneapolis has been named one of the world’s most bike-friendly cities! A new report covering 100 cities in 44 countries ranked Minneapolis as the #2 biking city in the U.S., #5 in North America and #44 globally. Learn more: https://www.minneapolismn.gov/news/2025/november/2025-bike-friendly-city/

Google is weird. I just got a birthday reminder on my phone for someone who died a few years ago that I met maybe one time.

Attacking education while normalizing corruption. Quite a mess for the American people. Not good.
wrote about the president’s flagrant and destructive corruption in a column that references street fighter, the simpsons, machiavelli, and a host of revolutionary-era americans (gift link)

Politicians at the federal level want to keep us safe from our own consumer choices.

Politicians at the local level refuse to act with urgency to save lives on our streets.

Yesterday I saw a Tesla in my Broad Ripple neighborhood that didn't even pretend to have a license plate. Nada. Nothing.

This is law and order on Indy streets.

Oof! My same healthcare plan just jumped up by 30% for next year. Merica gonna get big mad if this is common.

We've got some wicked broken systems and equally broken political machines.

A state safety org encouraging speeding in the left, passing only, lane. Gross. They don't actually care about safety.

OMG Indiana, why are y'all so horny for guns?
“A tragic mistake”?? This asshole opened fire THROUGH HIS CLOSED DOOR just because someone walked onto his porch.
A woman was fatally shot after a cleaning crew went to the wrong house, leading to what police called a tragic mistake. Investigators were determining whether any criminal charges will be filed.

We had to take out two safety demonstration projects yesterday for the Winter. I hope folks don't die before Indy DPW gets traffic calming in place.

A few folks need their cars taken away forever.

I was volunteering at a neighborhood trick or treat, where several side streets were closed to all but residents. Almost everybody was awesome, driving slow, & taking care.

The few driving like jerkos last night. Those folks should not have cars.

I took the Red line down to Raymond St today and back.

The bus fare inspectors thing is weird. I'm white, and I just get on and off the bus.

Every non-white person gets asked to verify their bus pass. I've got my MyPass app ready to show, but I don't even get asked.

This feels really sad. Art from closed schools in Indy being sold to fill a budget gap because the state legislature (in cahoots with profit taking charter and private schools) is trying to kill public schools. mirrorindy.org/indianapolis...

Ask your local leaders to make sure your police are enforcing local laws with regards to due process and illegal assist by federal agents.
A warrantless arrest unsupported by probable cause? Unconstitutional and prosecutable.
The use of excessive force while carrying out a warranted arrest? Unconstitutional and prosecutable.
It's not enough for ICE to be following orders. They have to be following *lawful* orders.

Hey, you know what the regional bus transit center needs? - MOOAAAARRR parking! Must be a joke, right? Nope, they're proposing a building that is mostly a parking garage.

this is the context for what cannot reasonably be considered a "necessary" parking garage by anyone without severe brain worms

Only kid in the park this rainy cool afternoon. She's not made of sugar (my niece).

Perhaps the rest of the neighborhood is raising wimps.

She also tried falafel and stuffed grape leaves for lunch!

Who's out there choosing wage slavery to the auto industry overlords selling over powered, bloated SUVs & vanity trucks?
“Once rare, 7-year car loans are fast becoming the norm. They’re often the only way buyers can afford new rides, with average sale prices surging 28% in 5 years to approach $50k.”

Designed-in car dependency, surging car prices, longer loan periods with more interest.

Sound like “freedom” to you?
