Indianapolis set a new record for bicyclist deaths in 2025 with 10 fatalities. This was a significant increase from the previous record of 7 bicyclist fatalities in 2021 and the 4 recorded bicyclist fatalities in 2024.

Avery Devon Neal, 32, was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver at this very intersection back on October 4th, 2025.
This morning, barely 4 months later, a 64-year-old woman was struck and injured here. She was transported to St Vincent.

City plow trucks pushed snow into the school crosswalks. Schools plowed the walks, but can’t connect to the crosswalks. Perry Twp. Perry Park - public sidewalk along the road - untouched. But the parking lot was salted again yesterday.

Crosswalks at 38th and Eagle Creek Parkway are completely plowed over and not passable for those on foot. I just saw multiple people forced to walk IN the road here. Eagle Creek Greenway has not been plowed; completely snow-covered.
