30-something with ADHD just surviving the darkest timeline in the slave state of California. Resist fascism by wearing a respirator.
Someone please tell Mike Schur that the Scarecrow Boat poster in A Man on the Inside made me very happy. I still wear my Scarecrow Boat shirt.

I think some kind of animal is trying to get into my house. I hear raccoons are trying to domesticate themselves...

My house smells so good right now and I'm angry about it because the rolls that made that smell are like rocks.

It just occurred to me how awful the combo of widespread eating disorders plus COVID is. Thanks for another spiral, Ariana Grande. I'm terrified for your brain.

Every survival fund drying up has MATERIAL consequences for Palestinians, because “survival” is no metaphor…for these six families, that's THREE medical emergencies without swift enough care; no shelter before the winter rains hit last weekend.

Miss me with any article manufacturing consent by referring to now as "post-pandemic," especially in regards to Gen Z bringing back community dining at restaurants.

Had delicatta squash for the first time and I was stoked not to have to peel it but then I hated eating the crunchy peel. 😩 So now I'm annoyed because it was absolutely delicious other than the peel I'm gonna have to take off next time.

Was she in a disassociative fugue? That man is like leather scraped over too much bread with a couple blue googly eyes pressed in below the surface.

One way I have found to mourn someone is to set up a monthly sustaining donation to a mutual aid effort they cared about. If you can join me in honoring Alice Wong, @sfdirewolf.bsky.social with a sustaining donation today, please do. Thank you Alice, and I will not let the bastards grind me down.

Our beloved Alice Wong has joined the ancestors. It was one of the great honors of my life to call Alice my friend, co-author & co-conspirator. She was a true genius, a force of nature the likes of which the world has never seen before. I love you, Alice, and am equal parts grateful and devastated

Flu is also looking really bad in Japan which can be an indicator of how it will go for the rest of the world
Covid-19. Bird flu. Et al. Now is a *really* good time to wear those respirator masks, my friends.

I think a lot about those who have died directly because of the carelessness, selfishness, and negligence of their fellow humans. Our species has not evolved enough. We have a LONG way to go.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Just got coughed at by a Safeway employee. Wild thing to do in general, it should be normal to wear respirators in a grocery store, but especially wild for an employee. What the fuck

Right-wingers will call you antisemitic for not supporting the genocidal settler colony of Israel but are also perfectly comfortable likening ostrich cullings to the Holocaust.

People just now realizing Cory Booker sucks when he supports genocide is wild. Shitlibs are such unserious people.

THEY PEPPER SPRAYED A BABY

THEY PEPPER SPRAYED A BABY

Please read this entire excellent piece by Caroline, which points out that a judge ordered the Feds (again) to stop doing **this exact kind of thing** and they are still continuing to do it all over Chicago
Arianna Sofia Veraza and her parents were driving to Sam's Club for milk, eggs and diapers yesterday when they heard helicopters and horns blaring yesterday. They had turned around to leave when a federal agent pepper-sprayed them through a car window.

Holy shit, a Marin Town banned all tobacco products. I'm absolutely stunned any American town would be willing to lose that revenue. I'm not sure what the point is when people can just go to the next town, which I'm sure they do on a regular basis anyway since Tiburon is small.
