#Trump is now using rhetoric toward Mexico similar to that used recently toward Venezuelay: "Something have to be done with Mexico." He adds that drug traffickers could also try to enter the US from Canada: these are the two countries with which the US will host next summer's World Cup.

Don't get lost in process. Don't give credence to their invented justifications. Americans don't want this war; Venezuelans don't want this war. Only Trump and his billionaire friends want this war. The only thing this is meant to secure is a corporate bottom line

We're alive to love things, learn things, and make things. That's it. That's our whole task in our short bright flash of life. Love, learn, and create. The more love, learning, and making stuff you put in the world - the love, harmony, beauty, justice, compassion and mercy of existence - the better.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

it's like how movies love to show someone having a panic attack or freaking out and getting slapped hard in the face and brought back to their senses. this makes for exciting or funny visual storytelling but in real life it is very possibly the worst conceivable response to an actual panic attack.

first of all, assume everyone (who isn't a bad actor like an abuser or a fascist etc) is a reliable expert in their own experience and their own life. no "harsh truth" you can think of is actually something they haven't thought already a thousand times. hearing from you TOO can only cause them pain.

Ok, everyone, what book is sacred enough to you to get sworn in on?
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

This set of observations is produced by my scrolling Reddit and otherwise listening to people talk about "how to write."

A) there is no requirement that any of your characters has any sort of "arc" let alone a redemption.

B) there is also no requirement that your fiction has a plot.
