It’s almost the awards season
I'm now halfway through reposting all my Tolkientober ficlets on AO3. They're all TRoP-compliant, mostly 200-600-word glimpses into the life of Galadriel from her arrival in Middle Earth through the aftermath of the One Ring's destruction.

Thinking about the sun as the emblem of Numenor in TRoP rather than the star as would, y'know, make sense. I'm wondering if they used the star previously but adopted the sun symbol when Numenor turned from the old/Elvish ways. "Look! We're the even BIGGER and MORE IMPRESSIVE sky light now"

There is a fairly significant character in Arthurian legend whose name we don't really know because of m/n/v/i and u/a confusion making it either Niniane of Niviane or Viviane or Nimue. Basically, this lady's name just looks like a squiggly line.

Someday I want to write a fic where Éowyn helps negotiate for an Uruk homeland in Mordor specifically so I can deploy this word's presumed opposite, "orxnawang" or "orcsnawang" (field of orcs).
