I don’t like it, but I get it tbh. Committee’s weekly fake updates have made it so that teams are given false confidence in their trajectory, and get the rug pulled out from under them for seemingly inexplicable reasons.

I just can't say it enough: "Notre Dame will stay ahead of Miami in the rankings as long as there's a team serving as a physical barrier between them, otherwise Miami will jump them" is a very, VERY dumb process.

This is probably the worst sports-related news in FSU football history, and no the snub was not worse. The snub was out FSU’s control. This was totally up to them and they botched it. Very well might be what keeps them out of a P2 conference. Hard to understate how bad this is.
