Actually been on a train without the bike. Although it does happen it's rare.
Last time was 2021 to collect my car I'd deserted in Falmouth during the rail strikes.
TBH, it wasn't abandoned as such but left at a mates house while I was on Ride the Trafalgar Way.

Another slow start ☕️ Got to bed about 11 last night after my ride, woke at 8am. Breakfast had, now trying to decide what to do today.
Bath Christmas Markets, but done that 2 years ago.
Have a look around Bristol, haven't done that.
Or cycle ride to Bath but I'm the wrong side of Bristol TBH.

Well today didn't get off to a great start and not doing the Wookies and Chewie today has left me at a loss. But I eventually got out of the hotel. However, I haven't got very far. Only out meandering for something to do I wound up at The Rustic Shed with a wild boar hot dog 🌭☕️😋 #cycling #Saturday

Last audax before Christmas in the morning. Start is 30 mins bike away, but TBH I'll probably get a train as I'm at Bristol Parkway. I'm only half prepared as I had a headache all day and as soon I got to my room about 8:30pm I crashed out 😴😴😴 Not my usual prep before an audax #cycling #gwraudax

Update:
Just been and checked the bike. It's time spent in the car hasn't made it any worse and on checking there's enough stopping power in the back brake, and just enough in the front for it to be rideable.
I'm just going to have to be careful on the downhills 😬 #cycling #audax #cyclistproblems

Looks like I might be swapping back to the road bike for my next audax, the front brake on the gravel bike still doesn't work. Bit of a nuisance as the route I was going to take has some gravel on it to miss out a rather busy road #cycling #audax #cyclistproblems

TBH it's a darn sight easier to get a train from home to visit London as I get a train into Waterloo station pretty cheap. Cheaper thsn the train from Southend would have been. The only difference is it's a 3 hour journey from home, whereas here I'm on the doorstep 🤷♂️

I'm not very good at making plans. Yesterday I stayed in Southend with the idea to head into London, I put that idea off until today but after stopping in Leigh-on-sea, I stopped of again in Waltham Abbey instead... 1/3

Today hasn't gone plan. My intention was to stay here 2 night and have a day out in London. My early escape didn't happen due to the weather and I've spent my time wandering the prom through shere boredom and stuck for other ideas what to to do.... 1/2
