Yeah, that tracks. When all of this is behind us and kids are learning about this time period in their history books ICE will be know as the enforcement/abduction branch of the international child sex trafficking criminal organization that is presently masquerading as our federal government.
Bloomington police announce arrests in sex trafficking bust: "Rashad Johnson out of Maple Grove. This is the most disturbing arrest that we've had here. He is a backgrounder for ICE, Homeland Security, and federal agencies."

The whole thread is peak dry humor; I love it. Happy St. Brigid's day to those who partake.
For the uninitiated, these are Irish Throwing Stars, an ancient weapon wielded by St. Brigid during the 1916 Rising, striking fear into the hearts of the British, and responsible for the eventual smiting of both Cromwell and Thatcher.

So that means that Republicans are now ok with expanding Supreme Courts? Duly noted for the next time there's a Democrat in the White House. No more of their faux outrage and 'rules for thee, but none for me'.
Two more Utah Supreme Court justices after Legislature — sore from legal losses — passes expansion
Gov. Cox quickly signed a bill adding two justices to the Utah Supreme Court. The GOP-led Legislature has derided the current justices as "activists."

Fuck around and find out indeed! I like it.
Philly DA Larry Kramer forms a coalition with other district attorneys to prosecute federal agents who have broken laws at the state level. The name of the coalition is the Fight Against Federal Overreach or FAFO—

Philly DA Larry Krasner forms coalition with other district attorneys to prosecute federal officers who break state laws
The group includes a prosecutor from Minnesota who has sued ICE over the ongoing investigation into the killing of Alex Pretti.

Interesting. This is the general who was in charge of all of the US militaries special operation groups (ie: JSOC) up until his retirement in 2019. He has been on the civilian SpecOpps Warrior Foundation board of directors since 2019 when he retired. He is clearly not happy with the present Trump

Funny/not funny because it's true. I live rural and many of my neighbors fly Gadsden flags. Wondering what they're thinking this morning now that the 2A apparently no longer applies according to the Trump regime. The only people 'coming for your guns' are the Republicans that you voted for.

I made a cake for Keith Porter, Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Not very good decorating and I ran out of frosting but the colorful sides represent their lives and the top with silver, white, gray and black with white and gray stars represent their abrupt end. May they rest in peace.

He would have made a good vice president; but, that ship has sailed. Now, he will be the point of the spear leading the Democratic states in their resistance against the tyranny of the Trump regime. We will prevail, I have no doubt, but the cost will be high; very high.

Just a reminder to make sure that your elected representatives in DC know where you stand regarding what's happening in Minneapolis and elsewhere right now. It only takes a minute to write and if enough of us raise our voices that can't ignore us; at least not if they want to keep their cushy jobs.

For anyone who works in journalism and wonders what to do in the face of increasing pressure from the Trump regime to 'comply in advance', here is your answer. To quote John Oliver, when confronted by bullies and tyrants the only words that you need are, "fuck you, make me".
Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Asking who stole Scott Jennings soul is implying that there was anything of value to be taken in the first place. As far as I can tell, he was already an empty husk of a human being into which the rich and powerful insert money and then lies and bullshit come out of the other end.

Read the entire thread. This can't be repeated enough; especially for the folks who are already trying to surrender before the battle really gets going. None of this will be easy, or painless, but what we do, and don't do, matters. Do not comply in advance; fight as if your life depends on it.
the question to ask about this is, okay, he wants to cancel the midterms. how does he get the VA state board of elections to cancel the midterms? how does he get the georgia board of elections to do it? how does he convince republican house members to quit their jobs and give up their paychecks?
Trump says a lot of deranged shit, but, per this Reuters article — and the threats of invoking the Insurrection Act in Minnesota this morning — he is very clearly exploring how to cancel the midterms.

Yep, 'canceling elections' is just not a thing. We have never canceled a national election in this country due to a war or any other reason. We even had a national election in 1864, during the Civil War. If we can do it then than we can certainly do it now; no matter how much Trump doesn't want to.

So it's official then, the FBI has taken control of the murder investigation of Renee Good and is trying to lock local state law enforcement out of the case. They're going to slow walk this and hope that folks forget about it (we won't). At some point, the FBI will exonerate ICE of wrongdoing.
“The investigation would now be led solely by the FBI, and the BCA would no longer have access to the case materials, scene evidence or investigative interviews necessary to complete a thorough and independent investigation” apnews.com/live/minneap...

Laws are only powerful if people believe in laws.To make laws believable, you need consequences for breaking laws. If consequences are not brought, the rule of law becomes weaker & more people start to not believe in them. They are doing this purposefully to draw us towards chaos, anarchy & weakness

To paraphrase Stafford Beer,

There is no point in claiming that the purpose of a system is to do what it constantly fails to do; the purpose of a system is what it does.

Clearly, our system is functioning exactly as it was designed to. People die, societies are destroyed and the rich get richer.

Do not allow yourself to be distracted. Yes, Trump starting illegal wars is horrible but we need to remain focused on the Epstein files. They underpin everything; if we can bring those into the light of day the entire house of cards will collapse. Do not forget, do not forgive.

Ex-JAG here—the proper move was to get arrested.

That way when the court-martial comes around and asks him “what did you do in response to this obviously illegal order” he could’ve said “I went to the brig rather than follow it” and he would’ve been exonerated.

Now? Well, now he won’t. War crime.
