In Georgia, there’s no economic resources for a self-sustained dictatorship. Any and all undemocratic rule in Georgia will have to have existential backing from other autocracies such as Russia, China, Iran.
This is why democracy in Georgia is non-negotiable to American and European interests. 1/

In the midst of all the uproar, this is particularly outrageous and easy to slip past one’s attention. Using Social Security this way on immigrants is deplorable enough. AND it is only a few key strokes away from using it on anyone they deem to be an adversary.

The Administration froze funding for 9 Planned Parenthood state health centers, including Minnesota/North Central States locations.
For so many people, it’s the only place they can turn to for check-ups, cancer screenings, or reproductive care. This is dangerous and wrong.
