"we USE ai, but our game wont CONTAIN it" is a clarification that no one has ever cared about & now CEOs are using it as a wedge to get their foot in the door as a part of a long term plan into normalizing AI, just like how 'it's just placeholder' was used with E33. dont cede even an inch of ground

Not to add to the din but I can't emphasize it enough; I couldn't think of another link in the chain of game dev more disastrous to poison with generative AI than concept art.
I'm a lot less excited about the new Divinity now. Using genAI for early brainstorming/concepting might not be as ethically bad as like, slapping generated images completely unaltered into your finished product, but it still sucks
