Here's what I love about the JAWS franchise:
In JAWS, the shark attacks the father. In JAWS 2, the shark attacks his children. In JAWS 3-D, the shark attacks the now adult children. In JAWS 4, the shark attacks the mother.
The last movie's tagline?
This time it's personal.

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

How long, exactly?
The story of fascism and authoritarianism always ends the same. The real question becomes, how long do you want the story to last?

One of the things that continues to surprise me is how Americans seem to be accepting scenes like this as the new normal.
I see images like this and I think, surely enough is enough, right?

I know someone who moved to Wrocław from California and spent a considerable amount of money shipping his Hummer here.
After weeks of waiting, the vehicle finally arrived. Between the small roads and the small cars he couldn't see, he ended up driving the Hummer for three days before selling it.

I love M. Night Shyamalan. I know people go back and forth with his body of work. But you can embrace it all once you understand that his career was dead the whole time.

Can anyone help me figure out what Bendis (I think it was his) comic book this was? Part of the story dealt with a normal family man in the Marvel universe who had a breakdown because he remembered his life in the Ultimate universe, and he couldn't reconcile the differences. Anyone?

I found this old piece I wrote on the Halloween weekend of 1999. I was visiting my friend in DC, and we went out drinking (pretty much all I did during those years).

Hot damn! This cover alone brought back so many memories!

When I was a kid, my mother played this album all the time. I hated it.
With the anniversary of her passing approaching, I wanted to have this album for myself. I managed to find it at a music shop in Germany.
Now, of course, I love the music. I'd let her play it all the time again if I could.

Even if you believe he didn't know what it was, or that he knew and he's changed since then, the very fact that he's running for the US Sentate and never thought that the Nazi tattoo on his chest would ever come up is beyond stupid. Good person or not, it tells me he's not serious enough.

I remember getting this issue and just being so incredibly excited to see the West Coast Avengers making an appearance. This is my love of peanut butter (ROM) and grape jelly (WCA) coming together.
Plus, I forgot that Russell was assisting Ditko's art for this story.

My dog Taco had stomach issues last night and started barking to go outside. I got dressed to take him to the park.
We live on a gated dead end street. Taco made it to the pedestrian gate to leave our street before he exploded. It was everywhere.
