(Also, in JAWS 4, it's said that the dad died of a heart attack. In my head canon, the shark was secretly feeding him a diet high in unsaturated fat.)

(I know that the shark also kills one of the children in JAWS 4, but I didn't have enough room.)

It's easy to say these things from a distance. But please understand that I'm living in a place that's been through even worse than what you're seeing now. The weight of it never goes away.

Surviving it is one thing. Living beyond it with the regrets and what-ifs is another thing entirely.

I'm only interested in writing the parts that'll be in the trailer but edited out when the movie hits theaters.

I think it’s all worth it for the final 5 minutes of the show’s finale.

I hope they save this speech for the trailer:

Landau: "He repaired that hole in his floor. But look, now there's a hole in the wall. And another one on the ceiling. Those holes need a human touch."

You get that in the book version of THE SHINING, but I think a lot of that hinges on his last act of redemption, which the movie lacks. I mean, once you cast Nicholson, Jack looks and acts crazy even before the hotel gets a hold of him.

I'd argue that was all Flanagan. He reconciled King's issues with Kubrick's movie and the weakness of the sequel book. If anything, King's contributions to Jack in DOCTOR SLEEP actually made him a worse person.
