Something I did earlier this year that I'm still really happy with! Octavia comes from an RPG game that never started. Here she is rallying peasants and would be adventurers to go and get back her stuff from the bandits who took it!

(Ancestry names may have changed since I drew this)
A party character list done in the style of older strategy RPG games like Ogre Battle. The name of the party is written up top: Octavia's first adventuring company. Six characters are organized on a 3x3 grid. The wizard Octavia is bravely standing in the back row.

People underestimate the importance of being able to relate to your character. The fantasy of being something unique is cool, but some of us find it easier and more immersive to play what we know. For some, that's a human fighter. It's not always about escapism.

In The Wyvern Hack, ancestries aren't a "fixed" affair, and they are built using anti canon principles.

When starting a campaign, Chroniclers and players will roll or pick from every ancestry's main tables, along with at least one secret and/or myth for each of them. (1/2)

A comment on itch reminded me of this idea for creating #TTRPG dungeons I had a while back. I still think its neat and I don't think I've actually shared it here on bsky.

So bsky.. meet Crossword Dungeons!
Do a crossword, use the answers and designs as inspiration for the rooms, get creative!
a how to guide for creating crossword dungeons. Step 1 - Find and Do, do the crossword. Step 2 - See Beyond, find the inspiring words and start to see the shape. Step 3 - Extrapolate, ditch words you dont like, create walls, you contol the dungeon. Step 4 - Draw the rest of the owl (make the dungeon from the inspiration). Step 5 - BE NOT AFRAID. Its just a dungeon created from a crossword, they wont always work. Useful tips: Metro for daily free crosswords. CrosswordSolver, for tricky clues. DungeonScrawl, for making maps. LootTheRoom - for more random ideas
